What the money would have become

For each coin — what an investment turned into over the longest stretch of prices we hold. History only: none of it speaks about the next year.

The stretch differs by coin: for each one it is the longest run of daily prices we hold. Exchange and network fees are not in here.

What is on each page

Behind every coin sits a calculator for any amount and any date over the last year, plus a table for a week, a month, three and six months and a year — so one lucky stretch cannot pass for the whole picture.

Where these numbers come from

Questions about the calculators

How are these numbers counted?
The amount is divided by the coin price on the chosen day and multiplied by the price today. Prices are daily closes from CoinGecko.
Why does the period differ between coins?
Because it is the longest stretch we actually have daily prices for. A coin listed three months ago cannot be counted over a year, and pretending otherwise would be an invented number.
Can I pick what to buy from this?
No. Of the 34 coins here, 13 stand above where they were — that is what has already happened, not what comes next. This informs, it does not advise.
